Lele Marchitelli – Mare of Easttown

Mare of Easttown is an American crime drama limited series created by Brad Ingelsby for HBO. Directed by Craig Zobel and written by Brad Ingelsby, the series premiered on April 18, 2021, and concluded on May 30, 2021, consisting of seven episodes. It stars Kate Winslet as the title character, a detective investigating a murder in a small town near Philadelphia.

The original music soundtrack of Mare of Easttown – titled Erin & DJ – is composed by Daniele Marchitelli or more known as ‘Lele’ by the industry. And is released by WaterTower Music, the in-house label for the WarnerMedia companies specializing in releasing recorded music of iconic films, television shows and games since 2001.

At 66 years of age, Marchitelli is known for his serious dedication composing scores for films and television series. Previously, he was nominated twice for David di Donatello for best score and fives times under Best Scoring for Silver Ribbon.

His experience as a composer covers a vast variety of areas: avant-garde cinema and variety shows which currently in Italy have a cult following such as: “Avanzi” (Leftovers), “Tunnel”, “Pippo Kennedy Show” and “L’Ottavo nano” (Eighth dwarf).

Between late 1970s and early 1980s he collaborated as a bassist to some albums by Maria Carta and Carlo Siliotto and was a member of the group Gramigna.

Lele Marchitelli began his career in music composition beginning of 1984. Born in Rome, he studies guitar and bass as an autodidact and became a member of the group Americanta from 1976 to 1977.
