Midnight Express (Resequenced)

By Ronnie Rocket

Giorgio Moroder is one of my favourite soundtrack composers. ‘American Gigolo’, ‘Cat People’ and ‘Scarface’ are not only high on my movie hit list but also on my music hit list. Among the 11 released soundtracks the debut film score for ‘Midnight Express’ stands out as an electronic music masterpiece. The original album has an uneven flow and two vocal songs that are better suited as singles in my opinion. I have resequenced the album tracks with a new opening (‘Istanbul Opening’), a new track order with the theme as the logical ending omitting the songs along the way. I like this version better. What do you think?
